Spring Reset

As winter slowly lets go and spring begins to show up, it’s the perfect time to give your hair and scalp a reset. Months of cold air, indoor heating, hats, and heavier products can leave the scalp feeling dry, sensitive, and out of balance.
Just like your skin benefits from a seasonal refresh, your scalp does too.
A healthy scalp is the foundation for healthy hair. When the scalp becomes congested, irritated, or dehydrated, hair can start to feel dull, lifeless, and harder to manage. Spring is the ideal moment to detox, rebalance, and nourish the scalp, creating the perfect environment for strong, vibrant hair growth.
With the right Davines products and targeted scalp care, your hair can move into spring feeling lighter, fresher, and full of life.

One of my favorite restorative treatments is Davines Naturaltech Nourishing Royal Jelly Superactive. This powerful formula deeply nourishes the scalp while supporting the health of the hair at the root.
If your scalp tends to feel sensitive, tight, or irritated, Davines Naturaltech Calming Superactive helps soothe inflammation and restore balance to a reactive scalp.
For those experiencing seasonal shedding or sluggish hair growth, Davines Naturaltech Energizing Superactive stimulates the scalp and improves circulation around the follicles, helping support stronger, healthier hair growth.
Think of these treatments as skincare for your scalp — because the environment your hair grows from matters.

Lighten Up Your Routine for Spring
Winter haircare routines often include richer products that protect against dry air and cold temperatures. While those products serve an important purpose in winter, they can start to weigh the hair down as humidity and warmer weather return.
Spring is the perfect time to shift toward lighter, breathable formulas that hydrate without buildup.
For gentle cleansing, Davines DEDE Shampoo is a beautiful daily option. This delicate shampoo cleanses the hair while maintaining natural moisture, leaving hair soft, fresh, and lightweight.
Pair it with Davines DEDE Conditioner to detangle and hydrate without heaviness. It’s ideal for fine to medium hair or anyone who wants movement and softness without losing volume.
If your hair still craves moisture but tends to fall flat, Davines MOMO Conditioner offers lightweight hydration thanks to yellow melon extract sourced from the Slow Food Presidia in Italy. It replenishes moisture while maintaining bounce and shine.
For styling, spring is a great time to swap heavier creams for lightweight leave-in products like Davines OI All In One Milk. This multitasking spray softens hair, adds shine, detangles, and provides heat protection while keeping hair airy and touchable.
And if winter products have built up on the hair or scalp, a gentle clarifying wash with Davines SOLU Shampoo can remove buildup from dry shampoo, styling products, and minerals in the water—instantly restoring freshness and volume.

Professional Scalp Care Makes the Difference
While a good home routine is important, professional scalp treatments can make a significant difference in restoring balance after winter.
In-salon treatments allow for a customized approach to scalp health, targeting dryness, sensitivity, buildup, or hair thinning more effectively.
Think of it as a facial—but for your scalp.
When the scalp is balanced and healthy, hair naturally becomes shinier, stronger, and easier to manage.

Ready for Your Spring Hair Reset?
If your hair is feeling dull, heavy, or dry after winter, a seasonal reset can make a noticeable difference.
A customized Davines scalp consultation and treatment can help rebalance your scalp, refresh your routine, and set your hair up for its healthiest season yet.
Because when the scalp thrives, the hair follows.
Spring is the perfect time to refresh, rebalance, and renew—with Davines.

Let’s talk Scalp Health

As the seasons change, our scalp often feels the shift first. Cooler, drier air and changes in humidity can leave the scalp feeling tight, flaky, or imbalanced—much like skin on the face. What many don’t realize is that the scalp actually ages faster than facial skin, due to constant exposure to UV rays, environmental stress, and product buildup. Over time, this can slow down cell turnover, affect follicle health, and even impact how hair grows and shines. Maintaining a healthy scalp through the changing seasons is key to preserving youthful, vibrant hair.

Davines Naturaltech treatments are designed to support scalp wellness through targeted care. The Nourishing Royal Jelly Superactive is a vitamin-rich elixir that deeply hydrates and replenishes essential nutrients, helping restore the scalp’s natural balance and resilience—perfect for dry or tight scalps as temperatures drop. For those experiencing irritation or sensitivity, the Calming Superactive soothes inflammation and redness instantly, creating a more comfortable environment for hair to thrive. And to support stronger, more energized growth during seasonal transitions, the Energizing Superactive works to stimulate and reinforce the scalp, promoting healthier, fuller strands from the root. The Xanthalene in the formula is a natural pain killer and great for tight dry scalps as well.

Integrating these treatments into your regular salon visits or at-home rituals can make a powerful difference. Think of them as skincare for your scalp—essential for maintaining hydration, comfort, and vitality year-round. A consistent scalp care routine ensures your hair’s foundation stays strong, balanced, and ready to adapt beautifully with the seasons.

When booking your appointment ask to add a royal jelly treatment!

Having a new winter hair care routine is essential for maintaining healthy vibrant hair through our cold, dry months. During winter the combo of cold air outside and heated indoor air strips hair of moisture. This leads to dryness and makes hair more prone to brittleness, split ends, and static. By adopting a winter-specific hair care routine, you can protect your hair from all these seasonal challenges and reduce the damage that dry air, low humidity, and temperature shifts bring.

Moisturizing is particularly crucial in winter months. Hair tends to lose its natural oils faster in cold weather leading to dryness and breakage. Switching to a hydrating shampoo and conditioner, as well as incorporating leave in conditioners and deep conditioning treatments can help keep hair moisturized and manageable. Oil is one of the best ways to seal in moisture in the winter (hair and skin!) By maintaining proper moisture levels, hair becomes stronger, smoother, and more resistant to winter weather conditions.

Protective styling and avoiding excessive heat treatments are also vital for winter hair care. Wearing your hair in loose braids, and buns can reduce exposure to cold air and friction from scarves, hats, or sweaters. In addition, reducing the use of heat styling tools like straighteners and curling irons can prevent further moisture loss and reduce the risk of heat damage. If heat styling is necessary, ALWAYS apply heat protectant to minimize the potential harm.

Lastly caring for the scalp is equally important as caring for the hair itself! Cold weather leads to dry flaky skin on the scalp which can cause itchiness. Regular scalp massages with nourishing oils like jojoba or tea tree oil can help improve blood circulation and add needed hydration. Fun fact, this is a service we provide here at the salon! Using a gentle shampoo in these months will help too by not stripping the hair of essential oils. By maintain scalp health, hair is better supported to grow stronger and longer even during the harsh winter season.
